Auger Applications
Henson Tools, Auger Components Division, is a manufacturing facility of auger components consisting of auger blades (teeth),
weld in auger pockets with carbide gauge protection, one piece welded pilot bits and pilot bits with replaceable blades. Our products
are primarily designed for severe applications where hard and abrasive formations are encountered in auger drilling procedures in the utility
and construction fields. Utility and foundation pier hole drilling time can be significantly reduced when these type of formations are encountered by
using Henson blades as opposed to conventional products now on the market.Our blades, pilot bits and pilot bit blades are manufactured of heat treated forging with
press fitted (as opposed to brazed in) carbide inserts.These inserts offer superior wear resistance which greatly extends the life of the cutting action of our products.
